Gardner Holland

      My name is Gardner Holland.

I am married to Beverly and we

have one daughter. Her name

is Anna.

          Bev earned her Bachelor’s

degree in English from SIU

Carbondale. We were married

on July 6, 1996. In April of 1998

our daughter Anna was

born.

     Anna attended district 7

schools and played on the

tennis teams at Liberty and EHS.

She graduated from Ottawa University in Kansas, where she accepted a scholarship to play on their women's tennis team. She now lives and works in Lawrence, Kansas.

I have lived in Edwardsville for 33 years, worked in education for 29 years, worked for District 7 for 16 years, and taught math at Lincoln for 13 years.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology/mathematics from SIUE. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education from McKendree University.  I earned my Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McKendree University. I am also a certified USPTA Tennis Professional.

Outside of teaching I have several hobbies and interests. I enjoy reading, working on my house, riding motorcycles, electronics, coding, working on cars, going on road trips, cooking, playing video games, golfing, photography, and playing guitar and drums. I like the artistic and technical sides of each of these.

I’ve worked in many jobs. I’ve been a dishwasher, burger flipper, bagger of groceries, pizza deliverer, factory worker, landscaper, computer builder, golf course maintenance worker, tutor, and tennis pro. I’ve proctored state exams given to prospective teachers, computed the statistical analysis for Ph.D. papers, and my favorite…drummer in a rock band.   :-)
